Art and nature come together in our newest temporary installation, Four-Legged Friends, created by Ink Dwell. This beautiful work, crafted with soft pastel chalk and washable tempera paint, transforms four of our concrete egg fermenters—integral to the Jordan Chardonnay program—into a visual tribute to the four-legged creatures that roam our 1,200-acre estate.

The Jordan Estate spans 1,200 acres in the Alexander Valley, with more than 75% of the land preserved as wild, untouched habitat. Beyond its vineyards and olive groves, the estate is home to a diverse array of essential wildlife, including coyotes, birds, deer, butterflies, bees and more. Now in its third year, our annual art series celebrates these creatures through immersive artwork. Four-Legged Friends follows last year’s Pollinator Pairings installation and our inaugural honeybee collaboration with The Good of the Hive. Each piece is designed to inspire appreciation for the wildlife that thrive at Jordan and reinforce our commitment to conservation and biodiversity.

“It is an honor to collaborate with Jordan, for the second consecutive year, to create Four-Legged Friends, an art installation that represents Jordan’s spectacular ecosystem and its unwavering dedication to land stewardship,” said Kim, founder and artist at Ink Dwell. “My hope is for the work to create a deeper appreciation and broader conversation around environmental conservation.”

John Jordan commented, “As guests step onto our estate this spring and summer, they will undoubtedly be captivated by our new exhibit, Four-Legged Friends, a vibrant tribute to the wildlife that call our land home. Each year, our evolving art installations offer visitors a fresh way to experience Jordan, and this year’s showcase celebrates the rich biodiversity of our property while reinforcing our pledge to land stewardship. These works of art not only highlight our creative spirit but also reflect our dedication to protecting and honoring nature, wildlife and the communities around us.”

Our dedication to sustainability and stewardship extends beyond our estate, earning Jordan Winery the Community Award through the prestigious Green Medal Awards. This honor recognizes our commitment to environmental responsibility, land preservation and the well-being of our greater community. Protecting nature, wildlife and the people around us is at the core of who we are, and installations like Wildlife Residents serve as a reflection of that mission.

Guests this spring and summer will have the unique opportunity to experience this temporary art mural during our daily Winery Tour & Tastings. Book your experience under the Visit section of our website.
