Get outside and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking views with a Sonoma County hiking adventure across the beautiful Jordan Estate, home to Jordan Vineyard & Winery. Your guided journey begins at the Winery Chateau Bacchus courtyard, where you’ll taste estate snacks and depart by foot on the four-mile hike on our private trail, which begins and ends at the winery and traverses hills and valleys with an elevation change of about 300 feet. This moderate hike passes through woods, meadows and sustainably farmed vineyards before a break at Vista Point, the highest hilltop of this peaceful 1,200-acre ranch, boasting a sweeping panorama of multiple wine regions and mountain ranges. Then descend into the olive orchards and make your way around the lake and cattle pasture to reach the chef’s garden and apiary. During the moderately strenuous hike, you’ll be the first to see and learn about Jordan’s new pollinator sanctuary plantings—open space that has been dedicated to creating habitat for vital pollinators, including the endangered Western monarch butterfly. The experience culminates on the winery terrace for a charcuterie picnic with wine pairing at your own table, featuring current releases of Jordan Russian River Chardonnay and Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, special selections by Journeyman Meat Co., and a beautiful salad, featuring fresh vegetables and greens from our garden, as well as foraged edibles from the estate.
Four hikes are being offered during Earth Day Week to honor our planet and celebrate its natural resources. Hikers will get to enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous views while learning about the latest sustainable farming and land conservation efforts at Jordan.
Tickets go on sale April 7 at 9 a.m. PST and will be available until sold out.
Our chef can accommodate gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian diets. Please make arrangements at least seven days in advance. Any request to change the set menu on the day of the event will result in an all-vegetarian, gluten-free menu.
